Nitrotyrosine (NT) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a competitive ELISA kit with colorimetric detection for the quantitative detection of nitrotyrosine, also known by the aliases NT, 3-Nitrotyrosine, 3-Nitro-L-tyrosine, and 3NT. The assay is intended for research use only, with general reactivity across species.

Nitrotyrosine is a well-established marker of oxidative stress and protein damage, making it a useful biomarker for research into oxidative stress, inflammation, and neurological disorders. By quantifying nitrotyrosine, researchers can investigate oxidative damage processes, evaluate antioxidant therapies, and monitor disease progression. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, tissue lysates, and breast milk, and offers a measurement range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL.

Optical density is read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader. The kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Most components are stored at –20 °C, while the wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution are stored at 4 °C.
