The NFYB Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie is a DNA-binding ELISA kit used to quantify the functional DNA-binding activity of NF-YB, the histone-fold-containing subunit of the heterotrimeric CCAAT box-binding transcription factor NF-Y (also known as CBF). NF-YB pairs with NF-YA and NF-YC to drive transcription from CCAAT promoter elements, regulating genes involved in cell-cycle progression, MHC class II expression, and metabolic reprogramming in tumors.

This 96 Assays microplate format accepts nuclear and cell lysates prepared from human, mouse, or rat samples. Researchers in cancer biology, immunology, and gene-regulation studies apply this kit to compare NF-YB occupancy across treated versus untreated cell populations, validate ChIP-seq hits, or screen small-molecule modulators of NF-Y activity. The assay uses an immobilized consensus oligonucleotide probe and antibody-based detection to deliver a quantitative readout of active NF-YB binding.

Reconstituted reagents and working standards should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the kit should be stored refrigerated. Intended for research use only, in vitro applications, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
