NCOR2 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The NCOR2 Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of DNA-binding activity of Nuclear Receptor Corepressor 2 (NCOR2), also known as SMRT (Silencing Mediator of Retinoid and Thyroid-hormone receptors). As a transcriptional corepressor that mediates ligand-independent repression of nuclear hormone receptors, NCOR2 participates in thyroid hormone, retinoic acid, estrogen, and PPAR signaling cascades, supporting research in endocrinology, metabolic disease, and cancer biology.

This DNA-Binding ELISA Kit is configured for 96 Assays and includes a microplate pre-coated with a double-stranded oligonucleotide containing the NCOR2 response element. Each reaction uses roughly 10-20 uL of nuclear extract prepared from cultured cells or tissue, with results quantified on a standard microplate reader. The format supports in vitro stimulation studies and characterization of NCOR2 recruitment following siRNA knockdown or pharmacological inhibitor treatment.

Validated for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, the kit accommodates nuclear and cell lysates from multiple experimental systems.
