Myosin regulatory light chain 2 (Phospho-Ser18)Fluorometric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's cell-based phospho ELISA kit is designed to monitor phosphorylation and expression of Myosin regulatory light chain 2 at Serine 18 in cultured cells. The kit is lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive, employing an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies are paired with Dye 1- and Dye 2-conjugated secondary antibodies. This configuration enables qualitative fluorometric detection read at Ex/Em 651/667 and 495/521. Researchers can use the kit to measure the relative amounts of phosphorylated Myosin regulatory light chain 2 in cultured cells and to screen the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (e.g., siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Myosin regulatory light chain 2 phosphorylation. The assay is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

Two normalization pathways are provided. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target RFU values, and an antibody against the non-phosphorylated counterpart of Myosin regulatory light chain 2 (Phospho-Ser18) is supplied to normalize the RFU value obtained for the phosphorylated form. The kit is supplied in a 96-well plate format, and storage conditions are 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
