From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit provides a colorimetric method for the qualitative measurement of Myosin regulatory light chain 2 (Phospho-Ser18) phosphorylation and expression in adherent cells. The kit is designed for the precise measurement of phospho-serine 18 on the human myosin regulatory light chain 2 protein, a key component of the myosin motor protein complex involved in muscle contraction and cell motility, and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture the analyte while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. Detection is performed at 450 nm.
