MYF6 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the accurate and reliable detection of MYF6 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow with high sensitivity and specificity, allowing precise quantification of MYF6 protein in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on MYF6. MYF6 is a key transcription factor that plays a critical role in skeletal muscle development and regeneration, and its dysregulation has been implicated in various muscle disorders, making it an important biomarker for studying muscle health and function.

Detection uses a qualitative indirect ELISA format: MYF6 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and the bound complex is detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control to normalise target absorbance, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density for further normalisation. The kit is validated for Human, Mouse, and Rat reactivity and is intended for use with adherent cells, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Results are read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a 96-well microplate format. The kit is stored at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 months and is for research use only.
