Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the detection and quantification of Myelodysplasia Syndrome 1 protein (gene symbol MECOM) in cultured cells. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm and is reactive with human samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The kit employs an indirect ELISA format, in which Myelodysplasia Syndrome 1 is captured by a specific primary antibody and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences. The kit can be used to measure relative amounts of Myelodysplasia Syndrome 1 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

Sample type is adherent cells. Storage is 4°C with a stability of 6 Months.
