MYB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's cell-based ELISA kit provides a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput method for detecting the MYB protein expression profile directly in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format, in which MYB-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, read at 450 nm.

Reactivity covers human and mouse samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to normalize absorbance values to cell density, allowing the kit to be applied to adherent cells for measuring relative MYB levels and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

MYB is a DNA-binding transcriptional activator that recognizes the sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3' and plays an important role in controlling the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells, making this kit relevant for research in cancer, hematopoiesis, and stem cell biology within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
