The PharmaGenie ELISA Kit detects mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2), a cytokine critical for T-lymphocyte proliferation and immune regulation. Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA format pairs a capture antibody on the microplate well surface with a conjugated detection antibody, supporting quantitative measurement of native IL-2 in serum and cell culture supernatants through a standard curve.

Colorimetric readout at 450 nm provides sensitive detection. Reconstituted reagents are stored at 2-8°C, with the unused microplate sealed and refrigerated for short-term stability; for longer storage, keep at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each vial of standard should be aliquoted before initial use.

Intended for in vitro research use only, the kit supports studies of T-cell activation, immune tolerance, and cytokine profiling in murine models, including autoimmune disease, transplant rejection, and vaccine response investigations. The 48-assay configuration suits pilot experiments and limited sample sets.

The PharmaGenie sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a 96-well microplate with removable 8-well strip format, accommodating partial-plate runs from the 48-assay pack. Lyophilized standards are reconstituted to generate a standard curve typically spanning 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL, with reported intra-assay and inter-assay precision under 10% CV.

Mouse IL-2 is a 15.5-16 kDa glycoprotein encoded by the Il2 locus, secreted predominantly by activated CD4+ T cells and required for lymphocyte proliferation, regulatory T-cell homeostasis, and NK-cell cytolytic activity. Quantifying IL-2 release supports research on immune checkpoint blockade, graft-versus-host disease, and infection models including LCMV. Serum samples are commonly diluted 1:2 or greater to limit matrix effects, while cell culture supernatants are generally tested neat or at modest dilution.

Bring all reagents to room temperature (18-25 degrees C) before the run, and read absorbance at 450 nm within 15 minutes of adding the stop solution, as the TMB endpoint drifts after termination. Seal and refrigerate unused strip wells at 2-8 degrees C with the desiccant; aliquot the reconstituted standard and store at -20 degrees C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This kit is for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic applications.
