Mst1/2 (Phospho-Thr183)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This In-Cell ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides qualitative detection of Mst1/2 protein phosphorylation at threonine 183 in cultured cells. The colorimetric assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which phosphorylated Mst1/2 (Thr183) is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, measured at 450 nm.

The kit is lysate-free and high-throughput, intended for measuring the relative levels of phosphorylated Mst1/2 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators on Mst1/2 phosphorylation. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to normalise absorbance readings to cell density. The dynamic range is greater than 5000 cells, with reactivity against human and mouse samples, and the kit is designed for use with adherent cells.

MST1/2 (gene symbols STK3/STK4) are key regulators of cell proliferation, survival and apoptosis, and accurate measurement of threonine 183 phosphorylation supports research into intracellular signalling in cancer, immune disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
