MSK1 (Phospho-Ser376)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of phosphorylated MSK1 (Mitogen and Stress-Activated Protein Kinase 1) at Ser376 in cell lysates. MSK1 is a serine/threonine kinase of the AGC/RSK family that regulates cellular growth, proliferation and survival, and phosphorylation at Ser376 is critical for its activation. Dysregulation of MSK1 signaling has been implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders and neurodegenerative conditions, making the kinase a relevant subject in research.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which the phospho-Ser376 target is captured by a specific primary antibody and detected via an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody that catalyses a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. It is a lysate-free, high-throughput qualitative kit intended for adherent cells, with reactivity in human and mouse samples and a quoted dynamic range of "> 5000 Cells". A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to further normalize readings to cell density.
