Mouse Zona Occludens 1/Tight Junction Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative detection of mouse Zona Occludens-1 (Tight Junction Protein-1). The kit is positioned for research into tight junction formation, the maintenance of epithelial and endothelial barrier integrity, and conditions associated with dysregulation of this protein, including inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune disorders and cancer.

The assay is reported to have a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with kit reagents intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months. Detection is based on a biotin-labelled antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) reactor, with TMB substrate development and absorbance read at 450 nm.

Linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, giving recoveries of 85-95%, 89-104% and 86-105% for serum; 86-101%, 84-96% and 82-100% for EDTA plasma; and 87-99%, 83-100% and 84-98% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery testing across the same matrices showed ranges of 85-104% (average 96%) for serum, 86-102% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 87-105% (average 95%) for heparin plasma.
