Mouse Vitronectin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double antibody method for the quantitative measurement of vitronectin in mouse-derived samples. It is validated for use with cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates and other liquid samples, and is reactive toward mouse analytes.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a stated working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Reported linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 87–104%, 84–98% and 84–91% for serum (n = 5); 87–102%, 87–93% and 80–100% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 89–105%, 86–101% and 80–99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Reported recovery ranges are 86–104% for serum (average 96%), 91–101% for EDTA plasma (average 96%) and 85–103% for heparin plasma (average 92%). Kit reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Vitronectin (gene symbol Vtn; UniProt P29788) is described as a glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and migration, modulation of the immune response and regulation of hemostasis, with roles in wound healing, inflammation and tissue remodelling. The procedure is a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
