Mouse Visinin-like protein 1 (Vsnl1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of visinin-like protein 1 (VSNL1) levels in mouse samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie targets VSNL1, a member of the visinin-like protein family involved in neuronal development and function.

The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed in mouse. It detects natural and recombinant mouse visinin-like protein 1, offering a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.17 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with recovery averaging 102% in serum and 104% in plasma.

VSNL1 has been associated with neuronal processes including synaptic plasticity, memory formation and neuroprotection, and abnormal levels have been linked to neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia, supporting its value as a biomarker in neurobiology research.
