Mouse Very low-density lipoprotein receptor (Vldlr) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR). Reactive with mouse samples, it accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a reported detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.164 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse VLDLR. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (104–112%, 93–106%, 96–106%, 97–105% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (108–118%, 110–120%, 105–115%, 113–123%), and heparin plasma (108–117%, 104–114%, 111–120%, 93–102%). Recovery is 94% (range 88–100%) for serum and 96% (range 90–102%) for plasma.

VLDLR is a single-pass type I membrane receptor that binds VLDL and transports it into cells by endocytosis through clathrin-coated pits, and binding to Reelin induces tyrosine phosphorylation of Dab1 and modulation of Tau phosphorylation. The protein (UniProt P98156, reported molecular weight 96,373 Da) is a focus of cardiovascular research, with relevance to lipid metabolism and atherosclerosis. Synonym: VLDL receptor.
