Mouse Versican core protein (Vcan) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Versican core protein (Vcan). The assay is intended for research use only and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit is reported to have a detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 31.25pg/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Versican core protein. According to the manufacturer, versican is a component of the extracellular matrix implicated in intercellular signaling, the regulation of cell motility, growth and differentiation, and the binding of hyaluronic acid. The protein is described as a secreted, extracellular matrix and extracellular space component that interacts with FBLN1. Included components comprise a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample diluent, assay diluents A and B, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution and plate sealers, with individual storage temperatures as specified in the kit insert. A microplate reader capable of measuring optical density at 450 nm is required to perform the assay.
