Mouse VEGFB ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double-antibody assay from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B (VEGF-B) levels in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, using a TMB substrate read at 450 nm. The kit provides a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measuring range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

VEGF-B is described as a key player in angiogenesis, the process of forming new blood vessels from pre-existing ones, and is implicated in wound healing, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, making this kit relevant to cardiovascular research and studies of disease mechanisms in mouse models. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Reported linearity spans 87–105% in serum, 82–101% in EDTA plasma, and 82–101% in heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (n=5). Recovery ranges are 85–99% (average 95%) for serum, 89–104% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 88–97% (average 92%) for heparin plasma.
