Mouse VEGF ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie, designed for the precise measurement of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) levels in mouse samples. The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format and is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL.

VEGF is a key regulator of blood vessel formation and angiogenesis and is used as a biomarker in research into cancer, cardiovascular disease and inflammatory disorders. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 93-103% at 1:2, 83-96% at 1:4 and 80-97% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 87-105%, 85-98% and 87-101%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 83-98%, 80-95% and 87-105%. Mean recovery is 99% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma and 99% in heparin plasma. The kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The supplied protocol comprises a 90 minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60 minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30 minute HRP-streptavidin binding step, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
