Mouse VEGF-C (Vascular Endothelial cell Growth Factor C) ELISA Kit (MOES01606)

VEGF-C is a key factor in angiogenesis, playing a crucial role in the formation of new blood vessels and regulating cell growth and survival. Its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, lymphedema and inflammatory disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions. The assay uses a colorimetric method and is suitable for serum, plasma and other biological fluids, including cell culture supernatants.

The assay uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. A pre-coated microplate captures the target, after which a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added. After washing, substrate solution is introduced; wells containing VEGF-C develop a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of stop solution. Optical density is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm and is directly proportional to VEGF-C concentration, determined from a standard curve.
