Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Vitamin D Receptor (VDR) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The assay is described as highly sensitive and specific, providing accurate and reproducible results across a range of research applications.

VDR is a nuclear hormone receptor and transcription factor that mediates the action of vitamin D3 by controlling expression of hormone-sensitive genes and plays a central role in calcium homeostasis. Dysregulation of VDR has been linked to diseases such as osteoporosis, cancer, and autoimmune disorders, making the assay a useful tool for therapeutic development and disease management research. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/ml. Spiked recovery averaged 96% across serum (85–103%), EDTA plasma (90–103%), and UFH plasma (93–102%) matrices. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 serial dilutions ranged from 80% to 104% depending on matrix. Intra-assay CV is <8% and inter-assay CV is <10%. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is for research use only.
