Mouse Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide/VIP ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP), this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a stated sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL and a working range of 12.5–800 pg/mL. Kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

VIP is a neuropeptide involved in regulating the immune response, circadian rhythm, and neurotransmission, and its dysregulation has been linked to inflammatory diseases, neurological disorders, and gastrointestinal issues. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 88–96%, 87–101% and 85–103% for serum (n=5), 86–101%, 85–101% and 82–101% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 82–92%, 81–94% and 84–95% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges are 87–102% in serum (average 93%), 85–99% in EDTA plasma (average 92%), and 85–105% in heparin plasma (average 92%). The protocol uses a 37°C primary incubation, a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding, TMB color development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
