RELA, also referred to as p65, is the transactivating subunit of the canonical NF-κB transcription factor complex. Because NF-κB signaling governs cytokine production, stress responses, and cell fate decisions, quantitative measurement of RELA protein in mouse models gives researchers a direct readout of pathway activation. This Assay Genie ELISA kit is built around that goal, providing the reagents and pre-coated plate needed to quantify RELA in mouse specimens.

The kit accepts diverse specimen matrices, including tissue homogenates and cell lysates as well as cell culture supernatants and serum-type or plasma-type samples drawn from in vivo studies. Typical applications include profiling NF-κB activation in knockout or transgenic mice, screening anti-inflammatory compounds in cell-based assays, and pairing the readout with western blot confirmation to map pathway dynamics under pharmacological challenge. The absorbance-based output integrates with standard microplate readers, allowing laboratories to run samples alongside existing colorimetric workflows.

Each kit provides reagents sized for a full plate of determinations, with reference standards supplied for generating a calibration curve. To preserve RELA integrity, samples should be aliquoted upon collection and refrigerated for short-term use or frozen for longer-term storage before the assay run. Researchers should avoid excessive freeze-thaw cycles, which can compromise protein recovery and downstream signal.
