Mouse Uteroglobin (Scgb1a1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the accurate quantification of uteroglobin (SCGB1A1) levels in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse uteroglobin and is intended for research use only.

Quantitative performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.157ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 6.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 102% (range 96-108%) and plasma recovery averaging 104% (range 98-110%).

Uteroglobin, also known as secretoglobin family 1A member 1 (SCGB1A1), is a secreted homodimer linked by antiparallel disulfide bonds. The protein binds phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and weakly progesterone, and acts as a potent inhibitor of phospholipase A2, with roles in anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory processes as well as lung surfactant metabolism (UniProt: Q06318).
