Uromucoid is an important protein that plays a role in kidney function and can serve as a biomarker for kidney diseases and disorders. The assay procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-Streptavidin incubation, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 is reported as 85-103%, 83-90%, 83-97% for serum; 86-105%, 90-101%, 82-99% for EDTA plasma; and 88-98%, 89-98%, 84-99% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 86-105% (average 93%) for serum, 87-102% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-105% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. The product should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
