Mouse UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1-2 (Ugt1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1 (UGT1) in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatant samples, and is supplied for research use only.

UGT1 is a key enzyme involved in glucuronidation, a process central to detoxifying and eliminating endogenous and exogenous compounds. Dysregulation of UGT1 has been linked to liver disorders, metabolic syndrome, and drug toxicity, supporting its use as a biomarker. The target corresponds to UniProt entry Q64435 (molecular weight 60,439 Da), a member of the UDP-glycosyltransferase family of major importance in the conjugation and elimination of potentially toxic xenobiotics and endogenous compounds, with specificity for phenols.

The sandwich assay is read at 450 nm. Per the sample protocol, 100µL of standard, blank, or sample is added per well and incubated for 120 minutes at 37°C, then incubated sequentially with Detection Reagent A working solution for 1 hour at 37°C and Detection Reagent B working solution for 60 minutes at 37°C. After washing, 90µL of Substrate Solution is added for 10-20 minutes at 37°C protected from light, and the reaction is stopped with 50µL of Stop Solution; substrate incubation should not exceed 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at -20°C or 4°C as specified.
