Mouse Tyrosine-protein kinase SYK (Syk) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise measurement of Tyrosine-protein kinase SYK, also known as Spleen tyrosine kinase, ptk72 or Sykb. SYK is a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that mediates signal transduction downstream of classical immunoreceptors including the B-cell receptor (BCR). It regulates innate and adaptive immunity, cell adhesion, osteoclast maturation, platelet activation and vascular development, and dysregulation of SYK has been linked to autoimmune diseases, cancer and inflammatory disorders, making it a focus of immunology research (UniProt: P48025).

The assay is reactive with mouse samples, detecting natural and recombinant mouse Tyrosine-protein kinase SYK with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Reported precision values are an Intra CV of 7.8% and an Inter CV of 10.0%. Sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. SYK localises to the cell membrane, cytoplasm, cytosol, cytoplasmic vesicles and phagosomes.

Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) ranged from 95-105% at 1:2 to 107-119% at 1:16, with intermediate values of 99-99% at 1:4 and 101-110% at 1:8. EDTA plasma (N=5) showed 103-111% at 1:2, 86-97% at 1:4, 99-111% at 1:8 and 87-100% at 1:16, while heparin plasma (N=5) showed 105-115% at 1:2, 92-103% at 1:4, 90-99% at 1:8 and 100-110% at 1:16. Recovery averaged 80% in serum (range 80-85%) and 81% in plasma (range 80-87%). For research use only.
