Mouse Tyrosinase (Tyr) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of tyrosinase in mouse samples, with reactivity specific to mouse and compatibility with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay recognises both natural and recombinant mouse tyrosinase, also known as albino locus protein or monophenol monooxygenase — a copper-containing oxidase that catalyses the rate-limiting conversions in melanin biosynthesis from tyrosine. Tyrosinase dysregulation is studied as a biomarker in conditions including melanoma and oculocutaneous albinism.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.164 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.4%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution series, and recovery ranges from 85–117% across the matrices tested. The kit is intended for research use only, with primary applications in cell biology, dermatology and oncology research.
