Mouse Type III iodothyronine deiodinase (Dio3) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies this Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Type III iodothyronine deiodinase (Dio3), an enzyme that catalyses the deiodination of T4 into RT3 and of T3 into T2, thereby inactivating thyroid hormone and helping to regulate circulating fetal thyroid hormone concentrations during development.

The kit uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is reactive with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It detects natural and recombinant mouse Thyroxine 5-deiodinase with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.08 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 8.6% and an inter-assay CV of 10.4%. Dilutional linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, and recovery averages 104% in serum and 106% in plasma.

The target is a homodimeric single-pass type II membrane protein localised to the cell membrane and endosome membrane (UniProt Q91ZI8). The kit is intended for research use only.
