Mouse Type I iodothyronine deiodinase (Dio1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Type I iodothyronine deiodinase (Dio1), also known by the synonyms 5DI, DIOI, Type 1 DI, Type-I 5'-deiodinase, Itdi1 and Txdi1. The assay is reactive against mouse and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids as sample types. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse Type I iodothyronine deiodinase.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 8.6% and inter-assay CV is 10.4%. Linearity (N=5) in serum spans 86-96% at 1:2, 105-113% at 1:4, 90-99% at 1:8 and 108-117% at 1:16; corresponding EDTA plasma values are 104-115%, 102-111%, 89-100% and 105-114%, while heparin plasma gives 105-115%, 105-113%, 80-89% and 105-115%. Recovery averages 80% in serum (range 80-86%) and 82% in plasma (range 80-88%).

Type I iodothyronine deiodinase catalyses the deiodination of T4 (3,5,3',5'-tetraiodothyronine) into T3 (3,5,3'-triiodothyronine) and of T3 into T2 (3,3'-diiodothyronine), and resides in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane as a single-pass membrane protein (UniProt Q61153).
