Mouse Tumor necrosis factor (Tnf) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Tumor necrosis factor (Tnf) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for research use only and supports work in inflammation, immunology and related disease research, including studies of cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions.

The kit reports a detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL and a sensitivity of 4.15pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (104-114% at 1:2 down to 105-115% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (106-118% at 1:2 down to 98-108% at 1:16) and heparin plasma (85-95% at 1:2 down to 94-104% at 1:16). Recovery averages 89% for serum (range 83-95%) and 91% for plasma (range 85-97%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse TNF.

TNF (UniProt P06804) is a homotrimeric cytokine, also listed under the synonyms Cachectin, TNF-alpha, TNF-a, Tnfa, Tnfsf2 and Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 2. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and is implicated in inflammatory processes and immune responses; its intracellular domain form induces IL12 production in dendritic cells. Research applications noted for the kit include neurosciences.
