Description

Assay Genie's Mouse Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 11B (TNFRSF11B) ELISA Kit is a sandwich-format immunoassay designed for the quantitative measurement of TNFRSF11B in mouse-derived samples. TNFRSF11B, also known as Osteoprotegerin (OPG) or Osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor (OCIF), is a secreted homodimeric decoy receptor that interacts with TNFSF11/RANKL and TNFSF10/TRAIL, neutralizing RANKL's function in osteoclastogenesis, inhibiting osteoclast activation, and promoting osteoclast apoptosis. Bone homeostasis depends on the local ratio between TNFSF11 and TNFRSF11B. Dysregulation of TNFRSF11B has been implicated in bone-related diseases, including osteoporosis and bone metastasis in cancer. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use in immunology and related fields.

The assay uses ELISA-based detection with a detection range of 7.8-500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 4.13 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.4% CV and inter-assay precision at 8.6% CV. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery averages 83% in serum (range 80-89%) and 85% in plasma (range 80-91%). The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse TNFRSF11B.
