Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 18 (Tnfsf18), also known as GITR ligand, Glucocorticoid-induced TNF-related ligand, GITRL, and Gitrl. It is reactive with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse TNFSF18. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a solid phase format.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 40.3pg/mL. Precision is characterized by an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Linearity testing at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 yielded recoveries of 95-108%, 104-114%, 81-89%, and 100-110% for serum; 99-112%, 83-94%, 105-114%, and 110-120% for EDTA plasma; and 103-111%, 102-112%, 101-112%, and 115-125% for heparin plasma. Average recovery was 82% (range 80-88%) for serum and 84% (range 80-90%) for plasma.

TNFSF18 is a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily that binds TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR, regulates T-cell responses, and can lower the threshold for T-cell activation and proliferation. It also mediates NF-kappa-B activation. The protein localizes to the cell membrane as a single-pass type II membrane protein and forms homotrimers or homodimers. This kit is intended for immunology research, including studies on autoimmune disease, cancer, and inflammatory conditions. Storage is at -20°C with shipping at +4°C. For research use only.
