Mouse Tubulin beta-3 chain (Tubb3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse tubulin beta-3 chain (TUBB3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and shows specificity toward natural and recombinant mouse tubulin beta-3 chain.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Recovery is reported at an average of 97% (range 91–103%) for serum and 99% (range 93–105%) for plasma. Linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 falls within ranges such as 82–117%, depending on sample matrix.

Tubulin beta-3 chain is a major constituent of microtubules, binds two moles of GTP and plays a critical role in proper axon guidance and maintenance. Expression is primarily restricted to the central and peripheral nervous system and is greatly increased in most cancerous tissues. The target protein (UniProt Q9ERD7) has a reported molecular weight of 50,419 Da and localises to the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton. Intended for research use only.
