Linearity has been characterised across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery in serum averaged 102% (range 96-108%), while plasma recovery averaged 104% (range 98-110%). Specificity is for natural and recombinant mouse Tryptophan--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic (UniProt P32921).

Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase is an essential enzyme involved in protein synthesis, specifically in the charging of tRNA molecules with the amino acid tryptophan. T1-TrpRS and T2-TrpRS isoforms have been associated with angiostatic activity and the regulation of ERK, Akt, and eNOS activation pathways linked to angiogenesis, cytoskeletal reorganization, and shear stress-responsive gene expression.
