Trypsinogen Activation Peptide (TAP) is the short N-terminal cleavage fragment released during conversion of pancreatic trypsinogen into active trypsin, making it an early biochemical indicator of acinar cell injury. This Assay Genie kit provides a competitive immunoassay on a microplate for quantitative measurement of mouse TAP in research specimens, supporting investigations of acute pancreatitis, caerulein- or L-arginine-induced injury models, and downstream inflammatory signaling in murine systems.

The plate arrives pre-coated, and the assay follows a competitive format in which sample peptide competes with coated reference antigen for binding to a labelled anti-TAP antibody, with HRP/TMB-based colorimetric readout on a standard plate reader. Mouse sample matrices supported include individual serum aliquots, individual plasma aliquots, tissue homogenate preparations, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatant harvests, covering both in vivo and in vitro experimental designs. The kit is supplied as a complete research-use-only package containing the pre-coated plate, calibration standards, detection antibody, substrate, wash buffer, and stop solution.

Reagents should be kept refrigerated until first use and equilibrated to room temperature before each run, with each plate run including a standard curve for interpolating unknown sample concentrations. The kit is intended for laboratory research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical decision-making.
