Cardiovascular researchers studying myocardial infarction, ischemia–reperfusion injury, drug-induced cardiotoxicity, or pressure-overload heart failure rely on circulating cardiac troponin I as a sensitive readout of cardiomyocyte damage. The Assay Genie Mouse Troponin I Type 3, Cardiac (TNNI3) ELISA Kit is purpose-built for this application in murine models, taking advantage of TNNI3's exclusive cardiac expression to distinguish genuine myocardial injury from background signal.
Validated specifically for mouse reactivity, the kit accommodates multiple specimen types, including matched serum samples, plasma preparations, tissue homogenates from heart tissue, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants harvested from cardiomyocyte experiments. This flexibility supports workflows that span in vivo cardiovascular phenotyping to in vitro cardiomyocyte stress assays. Researchers working with doxorubicin or other chemotherapeutic cardiotoxicity screens, as well as those characterizing transgenic or knockout mouse lines, can track cTnI release as an indicator of myocardial damage across time-course studies.
The kit is supplied as a complete reagent set sized for 96 individual determinations, with all components needed to run a quantitative two-antibody immunoassay. A pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standard, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop reagent are included, allowing laboratories to generate a standard curve and quantify unknown samples against mouse cTnI reference material.
Intended for research use only, this ELISA supports longitudinal sampling from individual mice, reducing animal numbers per study by enabling serial cardiac biomarker monitoring. For tissue homogenates, add protease inhibitors during lysis; separate serum or plasma promptly after collection to preserve analyte integrity before aliquoting and freezing.
