Mouse Triosephosphate isomerase (Tpi1) ELISA Kit

Triosephosphate isomerase plays a crucial role in glycolysis, a fundamental metabolic pathway essential for energy production. Dysregulation of TPI1 has been linked to various metabolic disorders and diseases, making it an important biomarker for understanding these conditions and developing potential treatments. The enzyme is also responsible for the non-negligible production of methylglyoxal, a reactive cytotoxic side-product that modifies and can alter proteins, DNA and lipids.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.186 ng/mL. Precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. In linearity testing, serum (n=5) showed 90–98% at a 1:2 dilution, 107–119% at 1:4, 80–89% at 1:8 and 101–110% at 1:16. Recovery averaged 107% in serum (range 101–113%) and 109% in plasma (range 103–115%). The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse triosephosphate isomerase, a homodimeric cytoplasmic protein with a molecular weight of 32,192 Da (UniProt P17751).
