Mouse Transmembrane 4 L6 family member 20 (Tm4sf20) ELISA Kit

TM4SF20 is a multi-pass membrane protein and a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family, which mediate signal transduction events involved in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. The protein localises to the membrane and to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. It functions as a polytopic transmembrane protein that inhibits regulated intramembrane proteolysis (RIP) of CREB3L1, and in response to ceramide it can stimulate RIP activation of CREB3L1 through a mechanism called 'regulated alternative translocation' (RAT). Dysregulation of TM4SF20 has been implicated in cancer progression, making it a biomarker of interest for studying tumorigenesis.
