Mouse Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGFa) is a 50-amino-acid EGF-family polypeptide, approximately 6 kDa in its mature soluble form, that signals through EGFR/ErbB1 to drive epithelial proliferation, mucosal maintenance, hepatic regeneration, wound healing, and tumor progression in murine systems.
