Mouse Transcription factor GATA-4 (Gata4) ELISA Kit

Per the manufacturer's specification, the assay covers a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.09 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data are supplied with the kit.

GATA-4 is a conserved member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors and a transcriptional activator that binds the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3'. It plays a key role in cardiac development and, in cooperation with TBX5, binds cardiac super-enhancers to promote cardiomyocyte gene expression while downregulating endocardial and endothelial gene programmes. It is involved in BMP-mediated induction of cardiac-specific gene expression and acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF together with NKX2-5. Dysregulation of GATA-4 has been implicated in cardiac disorders and certain types of cancer, supporting its interest as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target.
