Mouse Transcription factor AP-1 (Jun) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantitative measurement of Transcription factor AP-1 (Jun) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection format and recognises both natural and recombinant mouse Jun. The product is supplied as a solid-phase format and is shipped at +4°C; it is intended for research use only.

Quantitative performance has been thoroughly characterised. The detection range is 7.8–500 ng/mL and the analytical sensitivity is 4.04 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 8.3% CV and inter-assay precision is 10.3% CV. Linearity was tested in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (N=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, yielding recoveries of 83–95%, 88–96%, 102–112% and 105–115% in serum; 110–120%, 87–99%, 102–111% and 88–98% in EDTA plasma; and 112–121%, 87–98%, 108–117% and 100–110% in heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery gave an average of 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma.

Jun is a nuclear transcription factor encoded by the Jun gene (UniProt P05627; NCBI Gene ID 16476; molecular weight 35,944 Da) that recognises the enhancer heptamer motif 5'-TGA[CG]TCA-3'. The protein is involved in proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammatory disorders and autoimmune conditions. The kit is positioned for use within immunology research.
