The Assay Genie Mouse TPPP kit enables quantitative measurement of Tubulin Polymerization Promoting Protein, a microtubule-associated factor also known as p25 or p25alpha that bundles and stabilizes tubulin polymers in neural tissue. TPPP is widely studied as a marker of oligodendroglial pathology in multiple system atrophy, where it co-localizes with alpha-synuclein within glial cytoplasmic inclusions, and has been linked to tau phosphorylation and Lewy body formation in Parkinsonian brain.
