Description

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B (TNFRSF1B) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and recognises both natural and recombinant mouse TNFRSF1B.

The kit delivers a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 7.83 pg/mL. Reproducibility figures are reported as an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averages 82% (range 80-88%) for serum and 84% (range 80-90%) for plasma.

TNFRSF1B, also known as TNF-R2, TNF-RII, p75, p80 TNF-alpha receptor and CD120b, is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt P25119; gene Tnfrsf1b; NCBI Gene ID 21938). It functions as a receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha, while the TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. The protein binds to TRAF2 and interacts with BMX, and the listed research area is neurosciences. For research use only.
