Thrombomodulin (CD141) is an endothelial transmembrane glycoprotein that binds thrombin and routes it toward protein C activation, making it a key brake on the coagulation cascade. In mouse research, shedding of the soluble lectin-like domain into circulation is widely used as a quantitative indicator of endothelial injury, vascular inflammation, and glycocalyx damage across models of sepsis, atherosclerosis, diabetic vasculopathy, lupus nephritis, and transplant rejection.

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie targets mouse thrombomodulin and is supplied in a 96 assays format intended for in vitro research use. It supports longitudinal studies where matched aliquots from individual animals are run against a standard curve, for example to track endothelial activation after LPS challenge, during experimental colitis, or in tumor angiogenesis and ischemia-reperfusion work.
