Mouse Tissue-type plasminogen activator (Plat) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA) in biological samples. The assay reacts with mouse samples and is intended for research use only, supporting studies of fibrinolysis and cardiovascular biology where t-PA serves as a key enzyme that converts the zymogen plasminogen to plasmin, playing a role in blood clot breakdown, tissue remodelling, and cell migration.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay delivers a detection range of 0.312–20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.175ng/mL, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse tissue-type plasminogen activator. Specificity is directed against the Plat gene product (UniProt P11214), which functions as a secreted serine protease involved in plasminogen activation and has been implicated in conditions such as myocardial infarction and stroke, making the kit a useful tool for investigating hemostasis and evaluating potential therapeutic interventions.
