Mouse TIMP2/Metalloproteinase inhibitor 2 ELISA Kit

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reported linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is 94-105%, 86-99%, and 89-98% for serum; 86-102%, 86-99%, and 82-100% for EDTA plasma; and 85-102%, 83-100%, and 89-99% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery ranges average 99% for serum (range 90-105%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 88-101%), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 85-102%), each from n=5.

Assay Genie describes TIMP2 as a key regulator of metalloproteinases with a role in extracellular matrix remodeling and tissue repair, noting that its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions. The supplied protocol involves a 90 minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB color development for 10-20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
