Mouse Thrombospondin-2 (Thbs2) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Thrombospondin-2 (THBS2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse Thrombospondin-2 and is suited to research on cell-matrix interactions, adhesion, migration and proliferation, as well as on conditions such as fibrosis, cancer and cardiovascular diseases in which THBS2 acts as a key biomarker.

According to the manufacturer datasheet, the assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.066ng/mL, with intra-assay and inter-assay CV each reported as 0.0%. Linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery is reported as 80% (range 80-80%) for both serum and plasma samples.

THBS2 is described as an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions and functions as a ligand for CD36, conveying antiangiogenic properties. The product is supplied for research use only.
