Mouse Thioredoxin (Trx) ELISA Kit

Thioredoxin (Trx, also called TXN or Trx1) is a 12 kDa redox-active protein with a conserved CGPC active-site motif that supports cellular thiol-disulfide balance. Quantification of mouse Trx across serum samples, plasma samples, and tissue homogenate preparations is enabled by Assay Genie's Mouse Thioredoxin (Trx) ELISA Kit. Trx is reduced by thioredoxin reductase using NADPH, participates in antioxidant defense, regulates transcription factors such as NF-κB and AP-1, supports ribonucleotide reductase activity and DNA synthesis, and modulates apoptosis signaling pathways, making quantitative Trx levels a useful biomarker in studies of oxidative stress, inflammation, ischemia-reperfusion injury, neurodegeneration, and immune regulation in mouse models.

The kit is configured for 96 assays in microplate format with a colorimetric readout, supporting research workflows in redox biology, sepsis, cardiovascular disease, and cancer biology. It enables measurement of mouse Trx in vitro and in vivo across serum samples, plasma samples, and tissue homogenate preparations, allowing assessment of both circulating and tissue-level Trx.
