Mouse Thioredoxin-interacting protein (Txnip) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP). The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed in mouse samples. It detects natural and recombinant mouse TXNIP with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL.

TXNIP (also known as Vitamin D3 up-regulated protein 1 / Vdup1) is implicated in oxidative stress regulation and glucose metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a biomarker of interest in cancer research. The protein localises to the cytoplasm and acts as an oxidative stress mediator by inhibiting thioredoxin activity, while also functioning as a transcriptional repressor and a suppressor of tumour cell growth.
