Mouse Thioredoxin-dependent peroxide reductase, mitochondrial (Prdx3) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Mouse Thioredoxin-dependent peroxide reductase, mitochondrial (Prdx3) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA developed for the quantitative detection of PRDX3 levels in mouse samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.163 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. PRDX3 is a mitochondrial enzyme involved in the redox regulation of the cell, where it protects radical-sensitive enzymes from oxidative damage by a radical-generating system. Also referred to by synonyms including Antioxidant protein 1, PRX III, Perioredoxin-3, Protein MER5, AOP-1, Aop1, and Mer5, the protein localises to the mitochondrion and is a focus of neuroscience-related research.
